Emotional problems respond extremely well to acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Chinese medicine theory states that the physical, emotional and mental aspects of the individual operate as one integrated entity. All aspects respond to movements of qi energy and pathogenic states such as stagnation and heat.

Emotional problems that respond especially well are depression, anxiety and insomnia. Associate practitioners offer counselling and hypnotherapy alongside acupuncture and herbs if appropriate.
